Steve Walker has been a marble and stonemason for forty five years! (That long?).
He started work as an apprentice mason at the age of fifteen and qualified as an eclesiastical marble mason, (thats making headstones to you!).
In the course of this long carreer he has and has worked on Ancient monuments, modern marble clad tower blocks, designed and made stone and marble fireplaces, Granite kitchen tops, marble furniture, pet memorials and stone engraved house signs.
He has been engraving stone , designing and making house signs memorials and feature plaques for twenty years under the business name Stoneengravings one of the longest established and most respected names in stone engraving, and is now the family business. Steve now works from his home in the New Forest creating these feature stones.
Stonedials is a subsiduary website specialising in feature stone plaques, centre stone and sundials. All of the designs and styles on this site are the exclusive work of Steve and Helen Walker.
All of our work is made from natural stones marble slate and granites, we only ever work on artificial stone and marble under duress!
